Even though I believe I was just got a letter from the CRA saying I was
ineligible for the CERB and owe them thousands! – Now even though I
appealed, they can just do whatever they want recouping the money from
me. You just wake up one day and the money is gone from your accounts! I
am screwed, still off work and no income!

What do you think about Uber drivers who claim to experience lower income compared to last year, they claim lower demand now due to Covid 19. it is very hard to support their claim to meet the condition " did not reduce hours voluntarily". it is hard to prove because there is no report from the Uber or Lyft companies that show number of hours driver was online ready and available to accept trips (work). Uber/Lyft reports only show number of hours while drivers on trips delivering riders. so this means it is impossible to prove to CRA drivers were putting the same effort they put in 2019 (hours searching for trips) so they can claim that their Uber Apps were turned online ready and available to accept riders but were not receiving as many trips as they used to receive in 2019 and they attribute it to COVID 19 – appreciate your insight

Help Please

I have a complicated case here I was hoping for some help getting some clarification on whether I should put the effort out to challenge the decision that "I am not currently eligable for CRB" which it states when I log-in to my CRA personal account. I did apply and recieve the CERB already and believed I was eligible for that too. So here's the problem…the eligibility criteria and the simple wording of one single requirement.
First the info of me and my part-time job which due to covid-19 ended as of Feb. Janitorial contract I worked at a particular building 4 nights a week for a few hours and worked doing this contract for about 4 years. Every year I make well over $5000 a year working normally (2016,2017,2018) now last year I got hurt and was on leave for over 4 months with a ripped rotator cuff which happened at work (but was ruled as pre-existing for Workers Comp and ruled not paid leave so I didn't get paid for that time off.) What this did was bring my income down below $5000 to $4710 (I collected Income Assistance for the 4 months time from April-July 2019 and then went off IA back to work as normal in Aug 2019 and that if added to $4710 would for sure make it over $5000 for last year making me eligible but don't think it counts????). I had just filed my taxes for the year and recieved a refund based on this income of $4710 (I collected Income Assistance for the 4 months time off that if added to $4710 would for sure make it over $5000 for last year again) days before I lost this job and the pandemic kicked in. I qualify for CRB in every other way, question, and criteria completely. I am not eligible for EI based on last years income even with there expanded acceptance ofr the new EI. I am now recieving nothing at all and will be given a 10 day eviction notice at the end of this month and I am basically down to a weeks food and now not sure what to do as I seem to have no source of income whatsoever now that this has come up. I am now worried their going to want me to even repay for CERB I collected based on this info I am not eligible for that either now? All based on the fact I got hurt at work last year of the 4 total years I worked there…..and already got screwed over for Workers Comp for that accident that happened at work but was somehow not considered a workplace responsiblity out of 4 months pay….but now this injury and time off it required is about to screw me a second time a year later for $12,000 too as well as put me in the position of no employment or income at all, I now am feeling totally lost and feel like I'll be joining the ranks of the homeless in just weeks…..I need some help here, what do I do and what do I qualify for, I'm absolutely confused and pretty worried now….any help thank you. Applying to IA again isn't an option as I have a car and a few things considered "assets" that I would have to sell and live off of before applying. I do not see anywhere specifically that provincial IA dosen't apply as income which then makes me over $5000 and eligible….even in the eligibility requirements it dosen't say they are exempt. Your help would be so appreicated thank you
